So we lost that one but it doesn’t mean we’ve lost it all and that it’s time to give up. Right now we have to fight harder than ever to keep our Second amendment rights intact. He said he won’t take our guns, but as soon as he was elected his team put up their intentions, only to take them down again as soon as Tom Gresham started talking to all of his listeners about it. But they don’t seem to realized that everything that gets put up on the internet is permanent, there are those out there that will archive everything.

So we have his intentions, even though his campaign told us he never would take our Second Amendment rights, and we can get back up and keep fighting. If you haven’t done so yet you really do need to join the NRA , no excuses anymore. If we don’t stand up and fight now our gun safes are going to be empty real soon.

During a spring bear hunt a few years ago I had been in my blind till about six in the evening when it felt like God picked up one of the local lakes and dumped it on my head over the course of half an hour. It was so bad that I couldn’t see two feet in front of me. And since I had taken my Marlin rifle off the rest and put it in my lap to keep the action somewhat dry that’s when the first black bear I had seen all week decided to peek into my shooting lane. He was only there long enough to let me see he was there but not long enough to get myself reset and my sights aimed on him.

He moved off to my left out of my line of sight through the dense Canadian forest and then I lost sight of him for a minute. Then I heard him, he was snuffling and crunching past the back of my blind where I was sitting, about two feet away from by back. I didn’t even want to move and give myself away because I didn’t have enough room to turn and shoulder my gun in time. Then I heard him moving around to the right of me and down into the small valley in front and to my right and I could see brush and weeds moving around as he passed underneath them.

I waited about 20 minutes to see if he would pass back through before I packed up and rode my ATV back to camp. That was the longest 15-minute ride soaking wet through the dark with the cold wind in my face.
